Rambling

My mind has been rambling on and on for the past few days since Pres. Hinckley passed away. I've been thinking about his legacy and everything he did for the Church. We have a temple in NYC because it was dedicated by Pres. Hinckley a few years back. There are many, many other temples throughout the world also dedicated by Pres. Hinckley. If you haven't read it already, there's an excellent article written in the Salt Lake Tribune about him. http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_8105755 It's more about people around the world giving their memories of Pres. Hinckley. As I read these thoughts, my mind raced back to my mission. For the few of you who don't know, I served a mission in Johannesburg, South Africa. Part of my mission was also spent in Gaborone, Botswana. I love Africa... that's all there is to it. Teaching people about the words of the prophets was amazing, especially when I got to bear testimony of Pres. Hinckley. We are so blessed to have a living prophet and other Church leaders. We get continued revelation!!!!!!! Even now as we begin a new era, the Church doesn't slow, stop, or halt. Nate and I had a great FHE last night. We're going to start studying "Preach My Gospel" and help out more with the missionary work. I am so excited! If you don't have a copy, pick it up. It will increase your knowledge of the Gospel and keep you in tune with the Spirit. Thanks for letting me ramble.

Annika, I want to do the same thing, I just found a preach my gospel in chad's mission boxes and now that I know we have one, we need to start incorporating it into our scripture study.

I watched the Press conference today with President Monson. I thought it was so funny how members of the press kept asking him questions: "what are your thoughts on (blank) and (blank) and (blank)" like now that we have a new prophet, our views change or something. I am glad they don't. He did such a good job and getting this point across.
