Ward Halloween Party

This last Friday was our ward Halloween party. It was supposed to be a trunk-or-treat, but it was really bad weather so it ended up being inside. We decorated doorways to classrooms in the church building in lieu of our car trunks. Nate and I were pirates and Keilah was a pink panther. Nate had a blast being a pirate. He did his own "Jack Sparrow" makeup and had the voice and everything! I scrounged up my most pirate-like clothing I could find and joined Nate in searching for treasure :). The party was awesome. There was bobbing for apples, eating donuts from the string, and all the kids dressed up. Keilah did okay. She got a little over-stimulated by the music, lights, and kids running around screaming so I took her out into the foyer and chilled with all the other moms who had young, overstimulated, and tired babies :). Since Nate was a great-looking and very believeable pirate, all the kids decided to gang up on him and chase him around the gym. I think the great chase tired him and the kids out. Needless to say, there were a lot of adults and kids on sugar rushes the whole evening! We had fun and can't wait until Halloween this week to do some real trick-or-treating!
