It's Christmastime in the City

Nate and I braved the City this weekend. It was our only weekend we were able to make it down before we go to Utah for Christmas. Holy cow it was so crowded! Parking was ridiculous and there were crowds of people everywhere you looked. FAO Schwarts, The Disney Store, and American Girl Place all had lines out the building and around the block to get inside...and it was freezing! We dressed very warmly, stuck Keilah in her new coat (she looked like the kid in The Christmas Story that can't move b/c of his coat) and walked around town. We went window shopping, saw the tree at Rockefeller Center, and braved the Macy's crowds to see the window displays and the decorations inside. We were so cold and tired, but it was such a blast! Keilah was loving it and would sing up and down the streets. Everyone says New York is magical at Christmas and I believe it. It is so alive with people, lights, music, and tradition. We hope to go ice skating in Central Park when we get back after the holidays. Then our traditional NYC winter will be complete. If you've never tried it, come out next year and experience the wonder of a Miracle on 34th Street on your own.

That is so cool!! My brother and his wife were just in NYC a few weeks ago and loved it! She said that Christmas is the best time to go :)

By the way, Keilah looks so cute all bundled up in her coat! What a little trooper.

I guess you wouldn't know which Michelle this is, would you? You probably don't even know my husband's name! This would be Eric's little sister, Tiffany and Jackie's friend (I don't want to post my last name online--sorry!). Curly hair, kind of nerdy, play the violin. Know who I am yet?
