Three days ago, my little Keilah turned one-and-a-half. I can't believe that time has gone by so fast! I swear that day she turned 18 months she all of a sudden became smarter. She's starting to make small sentences like "bye-bye bath" and "what's that?" or my favorite, "where is it?" Of course they're non-interpretable to most people, but Nate and I have become great interpreters. She talks to her grandmas on the phone and is the star of the show when we webcam with family. However, she's becoming more attached and hates to leave my side. She went to nursery all by herself for the first time this last week and lasted maybe 20 minutes when the nursery leader came in and said, "Keilah's in hysterics. Just thought I'd let you know." Nate was fabulous and stayed in nursery with Keilah. She's been waking up in the middle of the night a lot too and has a hard time going back to sleep. Part of me is sad that she's so clingy and the other part of me loves every minute of it because I know that soon will come the day when she won't need me for everything and won't care if I'm around a lot. I've loved watching Keilah grow and seeing all the fun things she's learning. She's very determined and stubborn (I swear she doesn't get that from me!) and learns quickly. Keilah is amazing and I'm so lucky to be her "Mama!"

"Bye-bye bath!" I love that! How adorable that she is starting to put words together and make little sentences! Make sure you video tape her talking at this stage-it is PRECIOUS to go back and watch when she is 2 1/2 and sounding so different. Hope you are feeling well...time for a prego update on the blog. :)
