I was blessed to have my mom stay with us for
the first week I was home from the hospital. She was such a super help and Keilah loved having her play. Keilah is such a super show-off when it comes to her grandparents. She's always happy, always cute and funny, and so obedient :). I love it! While my mom was here we went to the park and the Fort Worth Stockyards. Nothing like barbecued meat, cows, horses, and BlueBell ice cream to round up a stay in Ft. Worth, Texas! Yes, I did travel and go out of the house the first week I was home and no, I don't think it was necessarily a good idea, but I was feeling fine, my mom was here, and I can't stay inside for more than a day. (and no that's not why Linnea has goopy eye or had a stinky belly button! I know what you're thinking!). I miss my mom and I'm so grateful for all her help when she was here. Come back soon and play Mormor (grandma in Swedish). You are a fabulous grandma and we miss you tons and tons already! (Seriously... what would we do without web cams?)
My mother-in-law, Linda, is here now and is also a huge help. I was sans mother for 10 days and it was a lot harder than I expected! I have a deeper respect for mothers and grandmothers everywhere. We'd be lost without you! We took Keilah to Cabela's today because we had an insane thunder storm this past 24 hours and I didn't want Keilah outside in the mud. Cabela's is seriously like a zoo, only indoors and the animals don't move :). We had a blast watching Keilah's facial expressions every time she saw a familiar animal or something else entertaining. I'd suggest going there on rainy or cold days when your kids need to get out. Plus, the free samples of fudge make it worthwhile for moms!
