We had a very special Father's Day here at our house. Nate's family was out to visit so we seized the opportunity and had Linnea blessed in church. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we don't christen our children. Instead, we give them a blessing with words of counsel through the power of the Priesthood, and we also say the names that they'll go by throughout life and on the records of the church. I had such a wonderful feeling as I saw Nate, his father, and 2 brothers, stand together and bless our new little girl. I think it was the best Father's Day present Linnea could've ever given her daddy. How lucky I am to have such a great and loving husband who's an amazing father to his two girls!

Linnea's Blessing/Father's Day
A shout out goes to my dad as well. He's always been super supportive of me in all my life decisions and has always taken the time to show interest in things I do. He's taken more than his share of personal time to spend coaching all of us and going to our school events. He's always been a strong beacon and a great example of how to live a Christlike life. I don't think I can remember a month where he hasn't gone home teaching or fulfilled his duties in church.
Another shout out to Nate's dad, Scott. What a great man to put up with Nate for so long :). He's another great example of service and charity. I feel very blessed to have a great father-in-law who's an excellent example to his children.
