This past week has been a good milestone for Keilah. She can now officially sit up all by herself without any support. She can usually do this for a long period of time now, although sometimes she gets excited and falls down. She loves it too. I believe she's realized the freedom that comes from growing and progressing. I believe I've found the freedom too :) I'm still quite weary about leaving her by herself. The stinky thing about having hardwood floors is that they're, well, hard. We're hopefully going to be getting a few soft and cushy rugs for Keilah to play on. I don't want my child to have concussions! Keilah's been so much happier lately too. She still cries before she goes to bed and when she wants attention, but she's also smiling a lot and has mastered the laugh. It makes our day when Keilah smiles as we come into a room or she starts to "sing" (her high-pitched screaming usually) when we sing or play the piano. This is a really great age and I'm loving every minute of it!

She is darling. They do grow up too fast. My baby turns ONE in a few weeks. It has been a fast year. Enjoy every minute of it. Reading what you write makes it obvious that you truly love being a mother.
Oh, yeah for Keilah! Ahh I miss you guys! Keep the posts coming, I love them all!
Hi Annika! This is Erin from high school. I ran into your blog and my little boy saw a picture of your little girl and said "Awe cute!" It looks like you and your family are doing well. I love this blogging thing! My address is erinjeremyjake@blogspot if you want to check us out.
We have hardwood floors too and I was worried about the same thing when Isaac started getting around by himself. We do have some rugs but it is still hard. Luckily, no concussions yet. :) Hooray for Keilah to be sitting up all by herself!
