The Church is true!

So, how amazing was the General Relief Society broadcast? Just when you think you're doing okay and life is good for a moment, you get chastised and made to contemplate. LOVED IT!!!! I've been feeling in a rut lately and kinda blah so to hear inspired messages from our leaders was exactly what I needed. Everything seemed to be very focused on compassion. I'm very new to my ward and don't know everyone, but I already feel the need to reach out and uplift these sisters as they have done for me. Elder Uchtdorf's counsel to be "creative" hit a spot also. I am the kind of person that doesn't start something because I know I'll mess up or find something else to do. So, I just don't start. This is why I have a perfectly new sewing machine sitting in my coat closet, crochet yarn and hooks in my craft drawer along with many other unfinished "crafty" things. I have created a child though so I guess that makes me creative. I have now made it a point to be creative in many different aspects of my life. I'm going to be more creative with Keilah so she can learn as well. I'm going to practice the piano more so I can also teach Keilah someday (or Daddy can). I really am blessed and have been given many talents and look forward to improving upon those now.

I know, i agree. I was kinda surprised that that was the topic. It was needed though I feel for a lot of people. I've been crocheting tons lately, something about being almost ready to have a baby makes me want to crochet...?

Yeah, I loved the creativity talk too. It makes me want to unpack all my "craft room" boxes (what a nightmare!).
