Future Mozart

My daughter is adorable. I love her to bits and pieces and laugh at something she does daily. Nate's been gone this week so it's been us girls holding down the fort in Texas. It's not been the most exciting of times, but I think we've had our share of gicks and kiggles ;) Today I was practicing my piano (one of those goals you get to every once in awhile) and had Keilah sitting next to me on the piano bench. She wanted to get down, so I let her down and she walked over to a nearby bookcase. She chose a book (about Abraham Lincoln and slavery for those interested) and brought it back to the piano. She asked (more like grunted) to be put up on the piano bench again so I lifted her up along with her book. Keilah opened her book and tried to put it on the music rest. She obviously wasn't going to be able to do it alone so I offered to help her hold the book open. She then started playing the piano while looking at her book as if she was playing while reading sheet music. She honestly made me turn the page so she could play a new song. I'd like to brag and say she does this all the time and she'll be writing music by the time she's six, but this was a first (hopefully not a last!).
