Last week Nate began to complain of severe stomach pains. We thought he might just have a really upset stomach from eating all the good food at CES in Las Vegas, but we soon changed our minds. Friday, I got a call from Nate saying he was going to drive from work to the ER because he was in so much pain. Keilah was asleep and I was busy cleaning the house and I immediately dropped everything! It's not every day my husband complains about being sick enough to go to the ER. I woke up Keilah and headed to Grapevine, Texas. We wait FOREVER for doctors and nurses and finally get ultrasounds done on Nate's stomach. We were worried he had appendicitis or gall stones or kidney stones so and ultrasound would be able to determine if any of those options were possible. I really wasn't being too supportive at this time and looking back, I feel terrible that I was so aloof about Nate's condition. I had a gut feeling that it wasn't too serious and that everything would be alright so I guess that's why I wasn't my usual basketcase of a mother/wife. The ultrasounds ended up being inconclusive and we went home tired, hungry, and confused. Nate was in a lot of pain that evening, but was sport enough to go to the parade the next day (see the following post). I'm proud of my man and how well he took everything. Day-by-day he's been feeling better and is almost pain-free. Keilah has been careful not to jump on Daddy's belly and I've been making sure he takes his pain medications and drinks lots of water (I sound like my mission mom, Sis. Fitch!). We love our Hubs/Daddy and are glad he's "feeling much bettah!" (quote from Monty Python for those wondering).

I get mysterious stomach pains once a year. It's weird The last time i went to E.R they couldn't find a single thing. It's extremely painful but it always seems to go away. Weird... I hope the very best of health for all of you.
Sorry to hear about Nate in pain! You will never guess how I found your blog! I was looking at a friends(from High school) blog and I started looking through her blog list to see if I knew anyone in her list that I had gone to school with and came across a picture of you with your friends in Utah, so I looked to see if she had your blog on her blog roll and "tada" I found your blog! Cute blog! Are you happy to be back in Texas? Well I guess I will see you at church some time!!
