Over the Weekend

We had a great weekend last week and I finally uploaded my pictures so I can document our fun times!  On Friday, we had some of Keilah's friends over for Spencer Wren's 2nd birthday party.  Spencer and Keilah "clicked" from the moment we moved into our ward and have been great friends over the past few months.  Spencer and his family decided to move to Coppell, half an hour away from us.  We miss Spencer and his family and since he had his birthday away from all of us, we decided to throw him a party at our house.  We had pizza, juice boxes, grapes, and a soccer birthday cake.  Then Spencer opened up his presents and all the kids played together.  On Saturday, we took Spencer and Keilah to go see "Sesame Street Live" at the Nokia Theatre.  Nate and I probably had more fun watching the kids' faces than they did seeing all their favorite Sesame Street friends.  The cutest sight was when Elmo came out onto the stage as the star of the show.  All the kids in the Theatre pointed, screamed, laughed, and smiled.  Yes, I even started crying.  I blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but it was so adorable to see Keilah's face light up as Elmo came onto the stage.  She was so happy, which made me happy, hence the tears.  We didn't stay the entire show because Keilah and Spencer began to lose interest (they're only 2ish!) and got sleepy.  We ate lunch with the Wren's at Johnny B's, a great local hamburger joint, and put Keilah down for a nap.  We've spent our most of our recent leisure time fixing up our house and sprucing things up.  We've painted our living room a beautiful "sea blue", painted our garage and front door a great woodsy brown, and have hung pictures, hung curtains, and laid rugs all to make our home our "own."  If you're ever in the neighborhood, you should stop by and see it!
