We were supposed to take Keilah to a pediatric neurologist up at Yale today to check on her bump. Well, we didn't. Nate and I have fasted and our families and friends have been fasting and praying that her bump would go down and honestly over the weekend it practically disappeared. I didn't feel like driving 45 min. up to New Haven just so the insurance company could bill me b/c a doctor told me everything was fine. So, I went and did that with our pediatrician this morning :) Here's our conversation:
Doc: "So, you didn't go to Yale? That's probably a good thing. We wanted you to go up there for reassurance. Honestly, Keilah had a very 'impressive' bump."
Me: "You were worried then?"
Doc: "No. We had just never seen anything like it and wanted to make sure that she would be okay."
Me: "Well, this past weekend was amazing. Her bump just disappeared."
Doc: "It's amazing. It was so huge just a week ago and now you can't feel anything and there's no sign of damage."
At this point I almost broke out into tears and began giving a first discussion to our doctor. I did mention that we'd been praying, but he said nothing of the comment. I have such a testimony of fasting and prayer. The Lord is so aware of our needs and what's right for us. Keilah has been such a joy in our lives and has been a trooper through all of this ordeal. Two weeks have passed since she fell down the stairs. Oh, and Keilah started walking yesterday! Not all by herself, but she'll walk from me to a chair or from me to Nate. She just decided it was time to "let go" and get moving!

Annika, That is amazing. Yeah, Prayer is the best thing ever. That is a neat story to write down and tell her when she is older. and I cannot believe she is walking! Way to go girl! Olivia is not even interested in crawling yet and she is 9 mo old! Will I have to carry her for the rest of her life?
Don't you love blessings! I am glad to hear that everything is good now.
